Psychotherapy

Life has its challenges;
and you can learn how to navigate it.

Psychotherapy centres on establishing a relationship with your therapist which is caring, collaborative, and non-judgmental. This foundation offers unconditional positive regard, empathy, and understanding. It provides a safe space for you to explore your internal world.

Whether you've encountered trauma in your childhood or adulthood—times that may not immediately register as traumatic but have profoundly impacted you—feelings of anxiety, depression, grief, trauma symptoms, or a general sense of confusion may be present.

Kate offers individualised, collaborative, one-on-one support in a safe, warm, and authentic manner, drawing upon her expertise as a professional. Regardless of the difficulties you face, having a dedicated space to express yourself and develop a deeper understanding of your life can pave the way for lasting change.

You will gain insights and understanding to feel more content and fulfilled in your life.

Therapy provides the essential space for you to connect with your needs and chart a course toward recovery, healing, contentment, and fulfilment. Opting for self-development is a lifelong choice, and therapy stands as a valuable avenue to deepen your understanding of yourself, your life, your choices, and your behaviours. It becomes a supportive tool in your journey toward personal growth and wellbeing.

You are not the sum of your experiences
This is part of your life story
Therapy helps you reconnect deeply to your authentic self.

Practicalities

Where to start

The 1st step is to determine your availability. Once we find suitable dates and times for both of us, we can begin to gauge our compatibility for working together. You are welcome to book an initial session or arrange a complimentary 15 minute call.

Establishing a regular therapy appointment

Upon your decision, I'll provide you with a registration form, confirming all the necessary information for your sessions.

The initial phase involves an information-gathering process where I learn about your background, including family, relationships, and any trauma history. This aids in understanding the context of your life, enabling us to work together safely.

During this process, you'll have the opportunity to reflect on what you hope to achieve through therapy, and we'll collaboratively work towards these goals.

Format and Prices

Psychotherapy takes place face to face, online or on the telephone, or any mix of these. It is recommended to occur weekly. For in-person appointments location is Surbiton.

Therapy, although immensely rewarding, is not always an easy journey.

Delving deeply into your world and taking full responsibility for your life can be a significant challenge.

Throughout this process, you can be assured that you will be held with love and care, providing a supportive foundation for your personal growth and self-discovery.
